Call for Papers

A day meeting at the Greek Cultural Centre celebrating and examining the intellectual contribution of Cornelius Castoriadis

Melbourne, Wednesday 12th of December 2018, 10am – 7pm


This year’s event will open with a panel, featuring Peter Beilharz, Chamsy el-Ojeili and Vrasidas Karalis on ‘Castoriadis before Castoriadis – the Years of Socialisme ou barbarie’. After lunch individuals will present papers. We will include a project development session, to discuss the future of this annual event and its scope. There will also be a viewing of Chris Marker’s interview with Castoriadis. The day will close with a public lecture by Vrasidas Karalis, on ‘Cornelius Castoriadis, the Rise of Insignificance and the Future of the West’.
