The 5th International Conference on Marxist Critical Theory in Eastern Europe: Social Modernization and Cultural Modernity

November 13-16, 2026

The 5th International Conference on Marxist Critical Theory in Eastern Europe (ICMCTEE2026) will be held during November 13-16, 2026 in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China. This will be an opportunity for the presentation of new work and research results across a wide variety of Eastern Europe Marxist Critical Theory Studies, to enhance the world-wide field of Marxist critical theories, to share studies of critical theory of Eastern Europe, and to promote the construction of Chinese Marxism and its aesthetics. It is a continuation of 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024 events.

ICMCTEE2026 is sponsored by the College of Literature and Journalism of Sichuan University and Group of “Bibliography and Research of Eastern European Marxist Aesthetics”, co-sponsored by Thesis Eleven Journal, Institute of World Marxism of University of Science and Techonology in Shandong, and The Research Center for Marxist Theory of Literature.
